Key responsibilities 

The Chief Officer is responsible for and supervise the deck department, all matters pertaining to safety, security and loading, storage, care and offloading of cargo, performs navigational watches and acts as deputy for the Master.  
 

To be considered for a position as Chief Officer in Maersk Supply Service, please see below for operational experience and certification 

You have experience as Chief Officer with functions such as 

  • Being an important part of the safety function 
  • Subsea Installation Operations 
  • ROV Support Operations 

You have the below minimum requirements 

  • Certificate of Competence STCW Re. II/2   
  • Dynamic Positioning Unlimited 
  • ECDIS IMO 1.27 
  • GMDSS 
  • Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3) 
  • Basic STCW Certificates 
  • In Charge of Medical Care 
  • Medicine Chest A 
  • Ship Security Officer 
  • Medical Certificate (STCW) 
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination 
  • Discharge Book 

Below education/courses is an advantage but not a requirement 

  • §16 Working Environment 
  • HUET – OPITO Approved 
  • CA-EBS 
  • CAA Radio 
  • Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3) 
  • Designated Security Duties (STCW A-VI/6-2) 
  • Proficiency in Security Awareness 
  • Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than FRB
